Where To Stay On the Great Ocean Road

Can you believe it’s already March? Oh how time flies…Last week I just wrapped up one whole epic month of traveling around Australia. This was the first place on my 2018 bucket list (see more here) and I’m so happy I got to tick it off early this year! One month may seem like a lot to many, but in all honesty, it didn’t feel like we had enough time to see everything this country had to offer. We managed to visit a big area of New South Wales and spent a week in Victoria (Melbourne and Great Ocean Road). The Great Ocean Road was one of the many highlights on my trip to Australia. And a big part of that was not only ticking off the 12 Apostles from my must-see list but also had a fabulous stay and experience at the 10 Ocean Drive beach villa during our 2 day road trip along the Victoria coastline.

Tucked away near the end of the Great Ocean Road, lies the beautiful beach villa on 10 Ocean Drive. The exterior may not look it at first glance, but as you enter the villa – the wash of white interior and bohemian décor fills the room with life and relaxation. The villa has a total of 4 bedrooms, each with its own personality and unique touch. The bed-linens are carefully paired with a mixture of textures and colours. Straw lamps hang low to give off a very beach bohemian vibe, I felt as if I have been transported to a place in Mykonos! On the ground level, the kitchen is fully equipped with various kitchenware and cutlery to cook up a feast!

A true Australian barbeque was only made possible with an outdoor barbeque grill and dining area perfect for a summer evening of with friends. A spacious sun filled rear decking area equipped with swim spa pool was also a bonus as we decide to take a dip in the jacuzzi after a long day of exploring. Upstairs is a welcoming bedding space with a stylish lounge area that’s very inviting for an afternoon read and relaxation.I loved that this villa felt like a home away from home…

After a long drive around the Great Ocean Road and site seeing, it’s undoubtfully the perfect place to kick off your shoes and sink into the some fresh sheets in bed. You wouldn’t even notice you were somewhere else when you wake up the next morning! What’s more, is the beach and ocean view right outside your door step.  There’s not better way to sleeping and waking up than to the sound of waves crashing into shore. As the sun goes down, the serenity of the still ocean and ray of light does nothing but calms the soul.

As a final verdict, this spacious and modern double storey home boasts uninterrupted ocean views. Cleverly renovated with quaint and quirky features throughout, the 10 Ocean Drive villa ticks off all the boxes for a wonderful stay with a group of friends seeking for luxury comforts in a private accommodation.
