My First Switzerland Road Trip
During our 3 day road trip from Germany, we decided to stop by Switzerland on our way from Lake Como. The drive took us an approximate of 5 hours from Frankfurt and we were fortunate to have no traffic during the whole ride. Even though I have visited many European countries in the past, Switzerland never made it to that list. So I was really excited to finally see what more the country of Swiss watches and chocolate had in store this time around!P.S Don’t forget to scroll down to watch all my vlogs on this road trip!

Thanks to Pinterest and instagram, we discovered the city of Lucerne and instantly had to check it out! Lucerne is located in central Switzerland and part of the German speaking portion of Switzerland. We decide to book an Airbnb right next to Lake Lucerne and it was so worth it! Since we arrived at night, there wasn’t much to see in the dark. But when we woke up the next morning we were greeted by the calm and stillness of the waters, with occasional fishermen cruising along scenic lake to catch fish. It was such an unforgettable experience waking up to such a magnificent view!
After a calm morning at the lake, we drove to Lucerne the city to explore the old town and grab some lunch. One of the main attractions of city was walking across the famous chapel bridge, also known as the Kapellbrücke. The oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe, as well as the world's oldest surviving truss bridge. Although you can easily walk through the old town in 20 minutes, the beautiful architecture fountains and bridges created a very romantic atmosphere that took you back in time and just made me want to stay there the whole day and soak it all in…

However, we had a pretty jam packed schedule and had to continue to our next location! After another hour of driving and a lovely cable car ride, we finally arrived to Titlis. The highest elevation suspension bridge in Europe, that gives a spectacular view to the Alps. Unfortunately, it was really foggy at the time we got up, so we couldn’t see much. But the one thing I still couldn’t get my head around was experiencing snow in the middle of summer! Especially from 25 degrees down in the valley to drastic drop of -1 degrees up in the alps and the illuminated glacier cave.Completely blown away by the scenic surroundings that the Swiss have, you’ll be sure it won’t be my last time here in this wonderful European country full of alps, snow and chocolate! Till next time…
