Where To Go: My 2018 Travel Bucket List
It’s a new year and that means more adventures to plan! Our earth is incredible and there are so many places worth going to, although I may be pushing it but I hope to visit everywhere within my lifetime! There’s always the excitement to visit somewhere new and fresh, but re-visit a places again and again can also be so refreshing in a familiar way. In 2018, I wish to do just that! And because I know a year can be limiting, I’ve narrowed down where I would love to visit and explore more of this coming year. If you’re wondering where I may travel to next, or want to spark your wanderlust for the coming new year, keep scrolling to see my 2018 travel bucket list!
Australia
Australia has always been on my list of places to visit, with the vast amount of land this country has to offer. It would take a long time to truly discover Australia in all it’s wonder. Although I have been to this countries a couple of times while growing up and visiting family, I would love to explore the nature and surfing culture that is famed down under, especially the vast coastline waiting to be discovered! Watch out New South Wales and Victoria, I’m coming for you!
Morroco
Over the past few years, my Instagram feed has been flooded with pictures of Morocco from the many travel accounts that I follow. This place is definitely on top of my bucket list of place to visit. Not only is this country full of picturesque scenery to shoot at, there is so much more offered here. For instance, camel riding on the Sahara dessert, sipping on Moroccan mint tea, staying at beautifully unique Riads and amazing carpets and souvenirs to shop for! Just talking about it make me want to book a ticket there now!
Bali
Although I’ve been to this beautiful island twice, there’s just something about Bali that keeps drawing me back! With a perfect combination of coastline, rice terraces and rainforest, Bali will always have a place in my heart. This coming year, I would love to explore the hidden gems and outer skirts of Bali as well as the out-laying islands such as Nusa Lembogan and Lombok.
Myanmar
Imagine long stretch beaches, cultural enrichment and also seeing Bagan from a hot air balloon at sunrise. There is so much of Myanmar that is so raw and true to its culture. In other words, Myanmar has much to offer. With Myanmar starting to open up to tourist in recent years, don’t wait any longer! Now is the best time go before the once untouched country starts flocking with tourists like its neighbouring countries Thailand and Malaysia.
Oman
One of my recent discoveries while scrolling through Instagram, was this beautiful part of the middle East. Oman seems to be an upcoming travel destination for those seeking unique culture, food and landscapes. With a vast amount of nature to explore, such as walking through the desert landscape or a swim in the clear waters of Wadi Bani Khalid oasis.
Portugal
I’ve never visited Portugal and it’s a beautiful part of Europe I would like to explore this coming year! Portugal has much to offer, from big cities like Lisbon with its historical tram, to crystal clear waters and beach combination. Lastly, you wouldn’t want to miss the mouthwatering Portuguese tarts, mmm… I take one for breakfast, lunch and dinner please!
Palawan
As a sun and ocean lover myself, Palawan seems to be just the perfect place to spent a holiday. Made up of numerous islands, Palawan has one of the clearest waters and beautiful beaches I’ve seen! Not only that, but there is much to explore including lagoons, rivers and staggering rocks to discover. What’s more is that Palawan is very cheap to get around, so you wont have to worry about breaking the bank while sipping on fresh coconut!
Where would you want to travel to this year? I would love to know so comment below!
