As it starts to getting cooler, it’s time to think about taking out our cozy knits and warmer attire. Saying goodbye to my warm-weather favourites is never easy, but before I stash up all my summer essentials, I like to take note of the trends that will carry over from last season as well as the must-have pieces that are just as appropriate for fall. Cozy sweaters will always have a place in my heart, they’re not only easy and practical to wear but also very versatile and timeless. Since I always get cold very easy, I love a great chunky sweater for the cooler days to snuggle in. Pair them with a pair of shorts or skirt when you want to show a bit more skin. This outfit is perfect for those lazy weekends at home or if you’re like me and can sometime work from home. Not only will the turtle neck style keep you very warm, it pretty much goes with everything underneath. For instance, if I feel like meeting friends for dinner at night, I can simply slip on a pair of jeans or slip dress with my favourite ankle boots to finish to look.

Transition into the new season also means mastering the art layering new cold-weather pieces you'll soon be in love with. The tank sweater is a must have this season, pick one with turtle neck collar and cut outs on both sides. The cozy staple is a perfect foundation for every fall outfit, topping off jeans and skirts for an endless number of ensembles that are simultaneously chic and comfortable.  I love pairing this with H&M’s new multi-coloured pleated skirt that adds a interest from the abstract print. This outfit is perfect for a day to night look and I would add a long sleeve underneath in the evenings.
